***I happily work with everyone, and all backgrounds.*** All religions, all faith groups, all non-religious, those with no defined beliefs, Spiritual, not Spiritual. Kindly know that I do not impose my personal beliefs and values onto your session.
The following various scriptures support, and explain, the value of the Expression of the Holy Spirit (prophesying, clairvoyance, medium/discerning Spirit, healing etc.). The quotes below also explore the role of those who actively serve as conduits for Spirit; "...stewards of the mysteries of God," as well as reflections on Spiritual identity. {As you may very well know, God is not a "he/him" or "she" or "they," nor needs to exist in a dualistic paradigm, but for the writers' sake some pronoun was inserted for readability.}
It may be helpful to insert your term of reverence in the place where 'God' is written.
O the depth of the riches, wisdom, and knowledge of God! ... For from him and through him and to him are all things. To God be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 9:33,36 Can you fathom the deep things of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? Job 11:7
"But, as it is written, 'What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who Love him'— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God." 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." JAMES 3: 16-17
"22 ...The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law..." Galatians 5:22-23
However deep your Knowledge of the scriptures, It is no more than a strand of hair In the vastness of space; However important appears Your worldly experience It is but a drop of water in a deep ravine. - Tokusan
"For it is God who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God... But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us." 2 Corinthians 4:6-7
2 Peter 1:19-21 19 We have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
"By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." Hebrews 11:3
"I do not seek to understand in order that I may believe, but rather, I believe in order that I may understand." — St. Anselm of Canterbury
“That which is not comprehended by the mind but by which the mind comprehends—know that...” ― Swami Prabhavananda, The Upanishads: Translations from the Sanskrit
The one having an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says... To the one overcoming, I will give to him to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. Rev 2:7
“Who is better able to know God than I myself, since He resides in my heart and is the very essence of my being? Such should be the attitude of one who is seeking.” ― Paramananda,The Upanishads
"4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits... 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit..." 1 Corinthians 12:4,-11
"I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:18-19
1 Eph 1:15-23 "Brothers and sisters: Hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and of your love for all the holy ones, I do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him. May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call... "
Brothers and sisters: Thus should one regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Now it is of course required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. It does not concern me in the least that I be judged by you or any human tribunal; I do not even pass judgment on myself; I am not conscious of anything against me, but I do not thereby stand acquitted; the one who judges me is the Lord. ...for God will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts... 1 Cor 4:1-5
Excerpt from "The Man of God" Jalaluddin Rumi (can exchange 'man' for 'woman' or your gender identity) "...The Man of God is a king beneath a humble cloak The Man of God is a treasure in a ruin The Man of God in not of wind and earth The Man of God is not of fire and water The Man of God is a sea without a shore The Man of God rains pearls without a cloud The Man of God has a hundred moons and skies The Man of God has hundred sunshines The Man of God is wise through Truth The Man of God is not a scholar from a book The Man of God is beyond faith and disbelief alike..."
"For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need. I can do all things through the Holy Spirit who strengthens me." Philippians 4:11b-13
