  • What are the differences between having a pay-per-minute reading on Keen.com, for example, versus booking with Anne Marie directly through Our Charismata?"
*Written with all respect to pay-per-minute platforms.* 1. Pay-per-minute platforms acquire approximately 40% of what you pay. This is because the pay per minute company provides the option for anyone to create an "advisor" listing for free. Due to providing the platform, and all of its branded advertising, the "advisor" receives less than half of the total of your payment. 2. By scheduling through Our Charismata you are supporting small business! Anne Marie can redeem the full amount for the transaction of your session. [There are always taxes naturally.] Our Charismata is Anne Marie's "home," her territory, that she has taken great efforts to establish as a welcoming, inclusive environment in order to not be under the restrictions of a hotline service. 3. Through Our Charismata, there is "time padding." What this means is that before your session begins and you are speaking with Anne Marie for general greetings on the phone/Zoom, you are not charged for those minutes. On a hotline platform, you are charged for those minutes. You are also not charged for minutes if Anne Marie's amount of Information coming through causes the session to go over by ~5-10 minutes. Anne Marie thrives in providing a service when she does not feel rushed, especially by a computer timer with no "give." [Please be assured that Anne Marie does use the time mindfully, and does not ever prolong a session for her personal gain.] The concrete "count-down" timer experienced on the pay-per-minute platform is something that Anne Marie can navigate, yet she highly prefers not to have that breathing down her neck while she is trying to provide a very special form of communication and counsel. 4. Pay-per-minute platform causes several interruptions during the session by prompting you to add funds. Such an interruption can cause up to 2 minutes of lag time where Anne Marie is waiting on hold... Interruptions like these are not recommended for the integrity and momentum of a session. 5. Pay-per-minute also ends the call abruptly; perhaps when you are in the middle of a sentence, or vice versa, when your "funds run out." There is a "one minute remaining" vocal warning heard over phone, but clients most often cannot fit in what they need before that final "one minute" and is over and "click!" the session is cut. The feeling this brings is that Anne Marie and the client have "hung-up" on each other without the important check-in at the end concerning how you are feeling with what has transpired, if you need extra support, or have any lingering questions. In a session scheduled through Our Charismata, that responsible "closing" of the session is also at no additional cost to the client. It is part of the ethics of Anne Marie's practice. Thank you for considering supporting small business! Thank you for considering Our Charismata services!
