F O U N D A T I O N "No other words spoken today can ever equal the word of Scripture itself in authority, purity, or in power." Grudem 49
How Anne Marie and the services of O U R C H A R I S M A T A support this vital Truth within the context of Christianity
P R E M I S E O U R C H A R I S M A T A services are not a place of fortune-telling, not for the profit of power, and not to control the future. Here I do not practice as a "medium" in the Hebrew scriptural or Spiritist traditions. Our Charismata services do not to add to, change, contest, or compromise the supremacy of Scripture.
"...Ultimately spiritual gifts are not our presumed strengths and abilities, not something that we "have" (or even have been given), but what God does through us in spite of ourselves. 'My grace is sufficient for you,' (2 Cor. 12:9.)" Grudem 174
"The gifts of the Holy Spirit in today’s church are not a means of satisfying curiosity or easing anxiety about the future, but are understood as 'the divine strength or ability to communicate God’s Truth and heart in a way that calls people to a right relationship with God.'”a.
O N E I N S P I R A T I O N A L I N T E N T I O N
From Ralph Waldo Emerson 1838 in an address to a graduating class at Cambridge Divinity School (b): "Yourself a newborn bard of the Holy Ghost, — cast behind you all conformity, and acquaint men at first hand with Deity. Look to it first and only, that fashion, custom, authority, pleasure, and money, are nothing to you, — are not bandages over your eyes, that you cannot see, — but live with the privilege of the immeasurable mind. ... be to (people) thought and virtue; let their timid aspirations find in you a friend; let their trampled instincts be genially tempted out in your atmosphere; let their doubts know that you have doubted, and their wonder feel that you have wondered." "...all men (people) have sublime thoughts."
"Mediums"...?
O U R C H A R I S M A T A services, in sum, have zero consultation of "the dead" because the premise of Anne Marie's practice, by the Grace of God, rests on the Truth of the Resurrection in the New Covenant of Christ; of Life everlasting. John 3:16. Although the biological body dies, the Holy Spirit that, more often than not, remains identifiable to that earthly Living person, continues. This is where being a steward to the mysteries of God comes into full realization. 1 Corinthians 4:1.
Anne Marie is neither a "medium" or a "necromancer" as defined in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Anne Marie connects to those in Spirit (in the reality of 'no thing ever really dies' -see Christian metaphysics, quantum physics also, c.), with tempered and cultivated discernment so that there is no demonology happening. This has been firmly established with fierce and reverent Trust in God. By the Grace of the One Holy Spirit, Anne Marie is made able to provide a communication bridge between you and your Loved ones.
Anne Marie is also not a "medium" in the popular, secularized use of the term because that would assume that she is "consulting the dead" or any nebulous spirit of any god-ideology-philosophy.
Without a modern-day descriptorAnne Marie's starting point, foundation, orientation, Biblical substantiation, and unshakeable faith that is within her despite herself, are what separates her "medium" service as being without a modern-day descriptor.
Solely for the ease of appearing in internet search results, yes, the phrase "clairvoyant medium" is used. For those who want to drink certified organic, non-gmo orange juice; they look at the ingredient label to confirm the substance. Likewise, Anne Marie provides to the best of her ability how "MEDIUM" is defined here: "Christian medium" is someone (a person practicing the Christian way of faith, in this case) who can distinguish spirits and brings the gifts of the Holy Spirit to connect you with Messages of a departed Loved one.
"What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also." 1 Corinthians 14:15
O U R C H A R I S M A T A with Anne Marie CHRISTIANITY IN THIS CONTEXT - The Details, Scholarly Substantiation, Importance of Definitions CREATING A SACRED SPACE and CLARITY in a Controversial Setting. Inspiring Personal Reflection
MAIN TEXTS referred to for SUBSTANTIATION and CONTEXT
The content on this page is relevant and hopefully clarifying for those who identify with a religion, a faith practice; in particular, Christianity. This page, the "Christian Dialogue" page, and "Portrait of a Spiritual Companion" page address how these services fit into, and have a biblical and scholarly supported presence in the established framework of the Christian religion denominations, those teachings, Principles, doctrines, any catechism, and the range of views on charismata. Additionally that these services maintain and honor the authority of the Scripture, are in complete support of a deepening Trust in God first and foremost, and encourage to weigh your messages and experiences with the active engagement of Scripture.
This content is supplied because, from experience, I have heard and observed repeatedly a gap in the validity of connecting these services to Spiritually religious Christian discernment, Spiritual Life companioning support, and connecting with those Loved who are in the state of "Life Everlasting." All of this is made possible by the power of the Holy Spirit to edify, console, encourage, inspire, uplift, validate, strengthen and expand the Christian faith Life.
There is a gentle necessity to bring up the elephant in the room among Christians. Yes, popular culture lays on the descriptors 'psychic and medium,' to services rendered by Christians and also non-Christians, which tarnishes and makes it a difficult topic. With that situation acknowledged openly here, it is necessary to articulate how the descriptors 'psychic and medium' are reconstituted within the Christian framework. The descriptors themselves are the strange noose and repellent, yet they are also the closest to being a more concise and 'searchable' way to tap into their living adaptation into the Christian context. It is not so much appropriation as it is clarifying how 'psychic and medium' are redacted out of their stranger applications and solidified in Christian Spiritual Intuitive Counsel.
Have you read about "The Blind Men and the Elephant?"Read the short Parable here! I aim to help restore the clarity, propriety, inherently sacred nature, and the long, positive history of conveying the Expression, Grace, of the Holy Spirit within the Christian paradigm while maintaining the supremacy of Scripture. There are many who are receptive to intuitive Spiritual counsel service who identify as "Spiritual" and do not identify with any religion or defined Spiritual community and corresponding beliefs about ultimate Reality, and so this content may not be relevant.
"By the Grace of God I am what I am...yet not I, but the Grace of God with me." [1 Corinthians 15:10]
On a personal note "The presence, the unconditional Love, and provision of God have freed me to convey the expression of the Holy Spirit for our sessions. With a consecrated heart I have been singing a new song of praise for Grace, for being shown this entirely profound relationship to all of Life." Anne Marie
A R R I V A L ! Anne Marie feels comfortable with the following to describe her service I seek no "divine authority" over Scripture, ever, or that the services provided supersede the Principles and teachings of any religion.
As an "ordinary congregational disciple who prophesies by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, without absolute divine authority," any 'inspired messages' that I, Anne Marie, provide are on the basis of 'revelations' imparted to me by the Holy Spirit," (Grudem 114 parentheses mine*).
"...the result of some extraordinary working of the Holy Spirit, [versus] intelligent Christian preaching" (Grudem 115 parentheses mine*).
"...the possession of information that could only come through a revelation...and need not rely on ordinary means of acquiring information" (Grudem 115*).
"In fact, it is the telling of the revelation which is itself called the 'prophecy'..." (Grudem 117*).
"In 1 Corinthians 12:29, 'Not all are prophets, are they?' implies that some people prophesy with enough regularity to be thought of as prophets [of the ordinary congregational apostle variety!]," (Grudem 174 parentheses mine*).
"In 1 Corinthians 14:1 Paul combines seeking the gift (prophecy) with maintaining the right motive (love), [and that ] they should strive to excel in building up the church...to benefit the congregation" (Grudem 178-180*).
"...One who prophesies (as an ordinary congregational apostle by the power of the Holy Spirit) speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation." (1 Corinthians 14:4 parentheses mine.)
Edification: Latin aedificationem (nominative aedificatio) "construction, the process of building; a building, an edifice," in Late Latin "spiritual improvement," from past participle stem of aedificare "to build". Religious use is as translation of Greek oikodome in I Corinthians xiv.
Exhortation: from Latin exhortationem (nominative exhortatio) "an encouragement."
Substantiating my services using the scholarly publication, *The Gift of Prophecy: in the New Testament and Today, written by Wayne Grudem.
Continue to read further to see the progression from "Old Testament Prophet" to "an ordinary congregational disciple who prophesies by the revelation of the Holy Spirit," without absolute divine authority.
Clarity - Defining Key Terms In non-secular terms, a "psychic" is called a "disciple who speaks merely human words for something God brings to mind." "I," Anne Marie, do not call myself a prophet. Further reading, provided below, shows why.
Let us examine the word prophet for yet more clarity about its usage today, within the context of Christianity.
More Than One Definition for Prophet: Let us narrow it down. The Gift of Prophecy: in the New Testament and Today. Wayne Grudem.Crossway,1998,2000. An Old Testament, or Hebrew Bible Prophet "...men in the Old Testament who spoke God's very words...with absolute divine authority. [In this context] To disbelieve or disobey anything a prophet says in God's name is to disbelieve or disobey God" (23-24 parentheses mine). ANNE MARIE IS NOT THIS.
"Prophet" in the broadest sense of the word found in the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures "proclaimer, announcer, spokesman" (39). [Referring to general secular Greek usage.] How amazing that it was intrinsic to the people of the cultures and time frame of the formation of the Judeo-Christian scriptures to know, by context, which definition of the word "prophet" was being used.
A D E F I N I N G M O M E N T in Christianity: "The New Covenant of Jesus Christ" (38).
"In order to emphasize the difference between the New Covenant that Christ established, he [Jesus] may have deemed it appropriate to have a new name to designate the leaders of the New Covenant community, the church. So the earthly leaders of the church are not called 'prophets of Jesus Christ.' Rather, the distinctive change from the Old Covenant is signaled in part by a new name, 'apostles of Jesus Christ'" (40 parentheses mine). ANNE MARIE IS NOT A New Testament APOSTLE.
New Testament / Christian Bible "Apostle, apostolos""Those with the task of writing the very words of God in the New Testament Scripture...without seeming to conflict with any Old Testament or rabbinic expectations of a wide distribution of prophetic abilities" (41). Greek apostolos: "someone or something that is sent" (41). Apostle of Jesus Christ "This new title was then used throughout the New Testament of those men whom Christ sent with his authority to found and govern the church, to write for the church the words of the New Testament Scriptures" (41). ANNE MARIE IS NOT THIS.
New Testament / Christian Prophets T w o f o r m s: with authority to add to Scripture, and without authority to add to Scripture.
"...apostles could 'prophesy' with absolute divine authority" (47). They are also called, in Christian theology, "...apostle-prophets" (that is, the apostles who are also prophets by the Spirit)" (46).
THIS IS NOT WHAT ANNE MARIE DOES.
"...ordinary congregational prophets did not have that kind of authority" (48).This is the lineage Anne Marie has vocationally been called to carry on by the power of the Holy Spirit only. As an "ordinary congregational disciple who prophesies by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, without absolute divine authority," any 'inspired messages' that I, Anne Marie, provide are on the basis of 'revelations' imparted to me by the Holy Spirit," (Grudem 114 parentheses mine).
In non-secular terms, a "Christian medium," is someone (a person practicing the Christian way of faith, in this case) who can distinguish spirits and brings the gifts of the Holy Spirit to connect you with Messages of a departed Loved one; in the new covenant reality of Life everlasting.
:::disappearance of material sense before the conscious facts of Spiritual Truth ::: In essence, conveying the expression of Holy Spirit has always meant to provide stability, to inspire, to console. In addition, it is commonly practiced to reflect on the Messages after a session and to discover how they remind or expound upon an established Spiritual or religious premise for the seeker, but not "to add to" any existing fundamental reality, or religious principles.
Substantiating my services by another Christian, Biblical Scholar and Theologian.
Thank Goodness for this astute, academic work steeped in scholastic wisdom and keenest intellect, the likes of which can only be coherently presented from a gifted author and teacher. Professor Ruthven is an exemplar in Dialogical thinking within the theological studies framework, and thankfully he was inspired to write on the very topic of Charismata. How does that apply here?
At home, connected, in an oftentimes isolating profession In his writing, Professor Ruthven has helped me to feel more 'at home' in putting into action how I have been called to serve... even if it means being lumped in with the skewed descriptors of "psychic and medium" and how being associated with those terms (as popularly defined with poor guidance) is a risk on various levels in both secular and religious world views. A substantiated validation To have such a landmark, vibrant exposition of the facts accessible for anyone to read, On the Cessation of the Charismata, gives me the support, the encouragement, and the articulation that I have needed and wanted to find, in a concise way, from both a Biblical scholarship and Christian-rooted resource!
With scholarly reference upon reference, Judeo-Christian Scriptural references, insightful commentary, and pulling from his own decades of applied study, and reflection, (including ministry as a missionary) Professor Ruthven spells out for me the validity of Charismata, and I hope that his publications may do the same for the dear reader.
"Protestant theology has usually tended toward cessationism, the belief that the miraculous, including various spiritual gifts, ceased early in Christian history. The Princeton theologian Benjamin B. Warfield strongly advocated this view, especially in his influential work Counterfeit Miracles. The present study, On the Cessation of the Charismata, thoroughly critiques cessationism generally and Warfield specifically. It shows that cessationism arises from sources other than-some even contrary to-Scripture itself: namely, cessationists' experience of history and their embrace of philosophies that distort their interpretation of Scripture. Instead, as On the Cessation shows, Scripture expects the miraculous, including all gifts of the Holy Spirit, to continue until the Second Coming; and that far from being signs merely accrediting the gospel only during its earliest proclamation, such manifestations of the Spirit are part and parcel of the good news of God's saving reign." SOURCE
"...cessationism (a doctrine that insists God does not reveal himself directly today)...[in contrast to]...the central characteristic of the New Covenant from Scripture itself, namely, the ongoing and Biblically normative process of the revelation of God directly and immediately into the hearts of believers (Acts 2.39>Isa 59.21; Jer 31.31-34)." (Ruthven xx)
A CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC - "PSYCHIC" - AND I CHOOSE TO ADDRESS IT BOLDLY, AND CLEARLY. ALL BACKGROUNDS WELCOME. I DO NOT IMPOSE MY BELIEFS ONTO YOU OR YOUR SESSION.
QUOTE FROM POPE FRANCIS (JORGE MARIO BERGOGLIO)
"'True faith means abandoning oneself to God "who makes himself known not through occult practices but through revelation and with gratuitous love," the pope said Dec. 4 during his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square.'" -Excerpt from Article: "Trust in Christ, Not in Psychics, Sorcerers, Pope Says at Audience"2019.
TO BE CLEAR ABOUT MYSELF AND MY SERVICES [ESPECIALLY FOR CHRISTIAN AUDIENCES]
To be clear: I cannot speak for any other person who chooses to use "psychic" as a descriptor. I am speaking for myself, and my service, with vigilance about Spiritual vanity.
The term "psychic" is the 'given name' by the secular world, and it is the search term used on all internet search engines for people seeking the benefits involved. At root, psychic is: conveying the message of the Holy Spirit, but to be clear: not adding to the Judeo-Christian Holy Scripture, changing it in any way, or claiming definitive authority. "Psychic" does not have a simple name in the Christian context. I follow this Scripture, as an example: DEUTERONOMY 18:17,18,20 "The Lord said...I will raise up a prophet...and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die."
1 CORINTHIANS 14:3 "But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation."
To be clear: I do not tell you to put your Trust in 'me' as a (Prophesying disciple) Psychic, Medium, or Intuitive. Rather, all focus is to Trust in, and be blessed by, the divine Messages conveyed through me, as a Steward of God's revelations. We are trusting in the Holy Spirit's provision.
The intention is to continuously Trust in Christ as the center and circumference of how all of this is possible, with thanks, with praise, with glory to God - not me.
Again, I proclaim and practice gladly! "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you." [Matthew 6:33 NASB]
To be clear: Receiving messages from the Holy Spirit is aligned with seeking the Kingdom of God; it is not a separate, discordant action in one's faith Life.
To be clear: I am not engaging in dark occult practices, sorcery, fortune-telling, magic, or "mediumship" in the secular, spiritist, or Hebrew Scriptural contexts. On the extraordinary contrary I witness time and again God's "revelation with gratuitous love" with each session. These experiences serve to strengthen my faith and unconditional Love, and also for the Lives of countless many with whom I have connected. These miraculous experiences glorify the works of God through the Holy Spirit, which naturally inspires deepened Trust, in Christ. There is no - thing 'occult' about it. Nothing at all. Not in my approach.
My service is not to replace "Trust in the Lord," or prayer. When you are wholly present in a session you are "drawing closer to God" (James 4:8). So, rather than placing your Trust elsewhere (the finite mind, magic, etc.), here, you are actively choosing to place your Trust in the Lord. There is more than one way, supported by Christian theological research, doctrine, faith, and the Biblical word, to seek the Lord, and remain an 'uncorrupted' Christian. Additionally you may, in turn, mature in your faith-Life opening your Heart to this branch of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, even seeing such gifts with new eyes within your own being.
Here we actually experience a supporting companion to our daily Trust in the Lord. We are engaging in a form of augmented prayer, by the exacting Grace of the Holy Spirit.
If we are looking at a method, or means by which we are truly "abandoning oneself to God," here is one of the most radical forms to do so. I am prepared that way, to provide this service. Each session offers you the opportunity to allow the unlimited Grace of Christ to be so welcomed into your Heart, Soul, and Mind that it is an abandonment of "self" to make way for a direct revelation in your Heart, your Spirit.
- Anne Marie, founder of Our Charismata: a consecrated place for essentially abandoning one's self to God during faithful discernment by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I hold no intention that the service I offer should supersede the Principles and teachings of many Religious traditions.
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Cor. 10:31. For this is the will of God, your sanctification." 1 Thess. 4:3
EXCERPT! Tuning into "Counsel," listed as the third gift of the Holy Spirit in Scott P. Richert's Article.
"3. COUNSEL Counsel, the third gift of the Holy Spirit, is the perfection of the cardinal virtue of prudence. Prudence can be practiced by anyone, but counsel is supernatural. Through this gift of the Holy Spirit, we are able to judge how best to act almost by intuition. Because of the gift of counsel, Christians need not fear to stand up for the truths of the Faith, because the Holy Spirit will guide us in defending those truths. The Third Gift of the Holy Spirit: Counsel is the third of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit enumerated in Isaiah 11:2-3. All seven gifts are present in their fullness in Jesus Christ, Whom Isaiah foretold (Isaiah 11:1), but they are available to all Christians who are in a state of grace. We receive the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit when we are infused with sanctifying grace, the life of God within us—as, for example, when we receive a sacrament worthily. As the current Catechism of the Catholic Church notes, "They complete and perfect the virtues of those who receive them." The Perfection of Prudence: Counsel is the perfection of the cardinal virtue of prudence. While prudence, like all the cardinal virtues, can be practiced by anyone, whether in a state of grace or not, it can take on a supernatural dimension through sanctifying grace. Counsel is the fruit of this supernatural prudence. Like prudence, counsel allows us to judge rightly what we should do in a particular circumstance. It goes beyond prudence, though, in allowing such judgments to be made promptly, "as by a sort of supernatural intuition," as Fr. John A. Hardon writes in his Modern Catholic Dictionary. Counsel in Practice: Counsel builds on both wisdom, which allows us to judge the things of the world in light of our final end, and understanding, which helps us to penetrate to the very core of the mysteries of our faith. "With the gift of counsel, the Holy Spirit speaks, as it were, to the heart and in an instant enlightens a person what to do," writes Father Hardon. It is the gift that allows us as Christians to be assured that we will act correctly in times of trouble and trial. Through counsel, we can speak without fear in defense of the Christian Faith. Thus, the Catholic Encyclopedia notes, counsel "enables us to see and choose correctly what will help most to the glory of God and our own salvation."
WHY MENTION CHRISTIANITY? CREATING A SACRED SPACE in a Controversial Setting Inspiring Peaceful Dialogue
Although providers in this profession are obligated by law to say, "For entertainment purposes only," and you may be seeking just that, which is fine, this work is very sacred to me.
An intention of mine is to create a space where all denominations of Christiansalso feel welcome to be assisted with the Expression of Holy Spirit because I Live and practice within a fluid Christian paradigm, and I view Charismata as being one of many ways that magnify God's presence and Love. [Kindly know that I do not impose my beliefs onto you or your Session.]
I have experienced the majority of misunderstanding and stereotyping from those who attest to be practicing as Christians.
I aim to help restore the clarity, propriety, inherently sacred nature, and the long, positive history of conveying the Expression, Grace, of the Holy Spirit within the Christian paradigm because within Christianity and its faith groups there are strong and conflicting viewpoints about Charismata. This creates divisiveness and often shrouds these services in an uninformed, negative way. The misinformation also feeds discrimination. My intention is through dialogue and awareness, and through my own service, to make divisions whole again.
Unity, interconnectedness and a Love that transcends faith boundaries are very common messages and experiences in this service; if only there were a way to share that imprint in a non-threatening way.
One could be banned from his or her Church and community for having an intensified relationship with Spiritual expression / Gifts of the Holy Spirit (the secular culture calls this 'Psychic/Medium/Intuitive/Animal Communication') or for using the services I have been given to offer.
Or one could be appreciated. It comes down to interpreting or misinterpreting Judeo-Christian Scripture (its many revisions) and historical context.
Let us move past that and reconnect to the ancient roots of this sacred lineage, which were once fully integrated into the everyday Christian Spiritual lives, like a living stream, and bearing Good fruits, while maintaining the supremacy of Scripture.

Excerpt from James A. Fowler "Charis, Charisma, and Charismata"
"Understanding of the charismata must commence with an understanding of the dynamic expression of God's activity in grace (charis). Such grace was (and is) realized through Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:17).
To the Romans, Paul explains that "the charisma of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 6:23), for Christ is the divine life of God (Jn. 14:6).
Previously in the same epistle to the Romans (Rom. 5:15,16), Paul had referred to "the charisma" of God in Jesus Christ, explaining that the grace (charis) of God had been manifested in abundance to all men in the gift in grace (charis)
...The charis of God is extended to mankind in the charisma, the grace-expression of the salvific gospel of Jesus Christ." https://www.christinyou.net/pages/chrsmata.html
Skepticism, disbelief, and discriminatory behavior about the expression of the Holy Spirit (non-fraudulent Psychics and Mediums) have arisen over time due to many factors:
The norms of secularism, commercialism and the related disconnect from the basic essence of ourselves beyond the limits of our five senses.
People using the expression of the Holy Spirit with impure intentions, or they wittingly try to connect with various "spirits," as the sources for your Messages, which is then an entirely different profession.
Royal Sponsorship: King James of England (1611) published his own revision of the Judeo-Christian texts based on his personal biases and agenda; the KJV Bible. This revised version degraded many key words, separating them from their original meaning.
Misinterpretation of the related scriptures, or using them out of context.
Ignoring the theological premise called "relevance theory" while reading Scripture.
People falsely claiming to have these gifts, and taking your time and payment anyway.
People falsely calling themselves Psychic/Mediums knowingly taking advantage of those who are vulnerable because they are grieving or in a desperate situation.
Misrepresentations through films and television giving all sorts of false impressions and distorted information. [Not always!]
Unfortunately, all of this misrepresentation envelops and wrongly affects the practices of true-hearted, well-meaning, extraordinarily attuned, and service-oriented Mediums, Clairvoyants, Psychics, Energy Healers, Medical Intuitives, and Congregational-disciple-non-authoritative-prophetic services. There is Hope! Check with your Heart, or your established personal discernment methods, for further assurance.
